The Bible is a Horrorshow

December 29, 2008 by MikeFook · 5 Comments

The Christian bible is filled with sick stuff… here’s a small sample. If you are one of the ‘on the fence Christians’ that don’t really follow anything to the letter you should read these. If you call yourself a Christian – justify these “God inspired” words that make no rational sense and could not really be coming from a god that is all good and just. Could they? It’s your bible – YOU justify it. Leave me out of this craziness though!

Cut the babies to pieces! Huh?

Isaiah 13:13-16

13Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, at the wrath of the Lord of hosts on the day of his fierce anger. 14Like a hunted gazelle, or like sheep with no one to gather them, all will turn to their own people, and all will flee to their own lands. 15Whoever is found will be thrust through, and whoever is caught will fall by the sword. 16Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be plundered, Sex between a male and male is punishable by DEATH! Wow, thanks for making homosexuality an option here god… When a boy grows up without a father and a strong mother prevails he often will turn to homosexuality. Is it natural? The environment helped it along… thanks for the possibility you jackass.

Lev 20:13

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them. Working some extra hours on Sunday to gain a little cash? Die then…

Ex 35:2

2 For six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy sabbath of solemn rest to the Lord; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. Dogs, lizards, cats and sheep – anything that breathes, dies….

Deut 20:10-18

10 When you draw near to a town to fight against it, offer it terms of peace. 11If it accepts your terms of peace and surrenders to you, then all the people in it shall serve you in forced labour. 12If it does not submit to you peacefully, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it; and when the Lord your God gives it into your hand, you shall put all its males to the sword. 14You may, however, take as your booty the women, the children, livestock, and everything else in the town, all its spoil. You may enjoy the spoil of your enemies, which the Lord your God has given you. 15Thus you shall treat all the towns that are very far from you, which are not towns of the nations here. 16But as for the towns of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, you must not let anything that breathes remain alive. 17You shall annihilate them the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites just as the Lord your God has commanded, 18so that they may not teach you to do all the abhorrent things that they do for their gods, and you thus sin against the Lord your God. Have a son or daughter that just won’t LISTEN? Kill them, God says you can…

Deut 21:18-21Rebellious Children

Rebellious Children 18 If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father and mother, who does not heed them when they discipline him, 19then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his town at the gate of that place. 20They shall say to the elders of his town, This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21Then all the men of the town shall stone him to death. So you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel will hear, and be afraid. Refuse to father children to your brother’s wife when he’s incapable? Die then!

Gen 38:8-10 8Then Judah said to Onan, Go in to your brother’s wife and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her; raise up offspring for your brother.’ 9But since Onan knew that the offspring would not be his, he spilled his semen on the ground whenever he went in to his brother’s wife, so that he would not give offspring to his brother. 10What he did was displeasing in the sight of the Lord, and he put him to death also. If your wife helps you in a fight by grabbing the other guys nads – off with her hand, “show no pity!” Deut 25:11-12 Various Commands 11 If men get into a fight with one another, and the wife of one intervenes to rescue her husband from the grip of his opponent by reaching out and seizing his genitals, 12you shall cut off her hand; show no pity. As a girl if you have a weak hymen – that tore when you were a child riding a horse, running away from a dog, or whatever it was… and try to pass yourself off as a virgin… DIE THEN!

Deut 22:13-21 Laws concerning Sexual Relations 13 Suppose a man marries a woman, but after going in to her, he dislikes her 14and makes up charges against her, slandering her by saying, I married this woman; but when I lay with her, I did not find evidence of her virginity.’ 15The father of the young woman and her mother shall then submit the evidence of the young woman’s virginity to the elders of the city at the gate. 16The father of the young woman shall say to the elders: I gave my daughter in marriage to this man but he dislikes her; 17now he has made up charges against her, saying, “I did not find evidence of your daughter’s virginity.’ But here is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ Then they shall spread out the cloth before the elders of the town. 18The elders of that town shall take the man and punish him; 19they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver (which they shall give to the young woman’s father) because he has slandered a virgin of Israel. She shall remain his wife; he shall not be permitted to divorce her as long as he lives. 20 If, however, this charge is true, that evidence of the young woman’s virginity was not found, 21then they shall bring the young woman out to the entrance of her father’s house and the men of her town shall stone her to death, because she committed a disgraceful act in Israel by prostituting herself in her father’s house. So you shall purge the evil from your midst. God made this life… and yet, you are to hate it and all that’s in it if you want to follow Jesus…

Luke 14:26 26Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple. Slaves – obey your masters – live with it… fear god and live with it…

Col 3:22-24 22Slaves, obey your earthly masters* in everything, not only while being watched and in order to please them, but wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.* 23Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters,* 24since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve* the Lord Christ. Slaves, if your master beats you with a metal rod… and you live – you’re his property… he’ll beat you if he damn well pleases!

Ex 21:20-21 20 When a slave-owner strikes a male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies immediately, the owner shall be punished. 21But if the slave survives for a day or two, there is no punishment; for the slave is the owner’s property. Well, this is about the only thing I agree with out of all of this… (JOKING) Is there any chance this was written by a man? Oh wait, I think all the bible’s books were written by men – yes? I could be wrong there, but I don’t remember a book named “Mary”.

1Tim 2:11-12 11Let a woman* learn in silence with full submission. 12I permit no woman* to teach or to have authority over a man;* she is to keep silent.

For the following – how are they to know what girls have slept with a man? Put a finger up there and deflower her or what? How ridiculous is this passage?

Num 31:14-18 14Moses became angry with the officers of the army, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds, who had come from service in the war. 15Moses said to them, Have you allowed all the women to live? 16These women here, on Balaam’s advice, made the Israelites act treacherously against the Lord in the affair of Peor, so that the plague came among the congregation of the Lord. 17Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known a man by sleeping with him. 18But all the young girls who have not known a man by sleeping with him, keep alive for yourselves.

If you think these things apply only to the people of the time and aren’t relevant to us today in 2008… think again.

You either follow the bible or you create your own reality… The bible SAYS to follow every word.

Why don’t you?

You realize some of it is so ridiculous that it couldn’t have been meant for present times. Yes?

Isaiah 40:8 8The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand for ever. Did a perfect and all-loving God inspire these brutal words? If you believe in the bible – you gotta answer in the affirmative. If not, you’re a hypocrite.

I find that most Christians are one of two things… hypocrites or disbelievers afraid to come out of the closet and question the things they KNOW are wrong about Christianity.

Which one are you?

Why is the Bible like this?

One of the purposes of this web site is to provide fodder to help you explore the question for yourself. Would anyone care to enlighten me about why such a ‘good God’ would say these nutty things?

25 Reasons I Believe God Doesn’t Give a $h!t

December 28, 2008 by MikeFook · Leave a Comment

Here’s a list of twenty-five things that piss me off to no end about whatever created this mess we’re all living in. Life is such a bizarre state to me, and it makes no sense whatsoever because I’ve come to the conclusion over years of thought that… God, or whatever made humankind, the earth, the universe, anything that exists within or outside our universe… was or is: 1. Not good in any sense of the word. 2. Not available to gripe at. Or, is ignoring us.

So here’s twenty-five reasons I don’t believe God gives a shit…
  1. Crackwhores can have babies. Your prostitute mom and degenerate dad could be mainlining crack AND heroin AND smoking PCP every single day for the last eight years, and now they have a brand new bouncing baby – YOU. How fucked is that?
  2. Everything we do is a struggle – everything physical. We have gravity and friction acting on every single movement we make. We were born to struggle.
  3. Internally our body temperature conflicts with our external environment – always. It’s never at equilibrium. It’s impossible. We’re always producing heat as a result of digesting our food and our cells going about their ‘normal’ activity.
  4. The world’s population is at odds over religion – there are hundreds of very different beliefs about what is the truth. What else COULD result as a consequence of this? Religion is the strongest belief – moral belief that people have. It’s one that people will fight to the death to defend or attack others over.
  5. Life isn’t fair if this is ‘it’. If there are many lives – sure, it could be fair… successive lives could result in a better state. But, none of us know that – so this life is unfair all 72 years we struggle through it without knowing any definite purpose for the struggle.
  6. People have a need to identify with something greater than themselves to make them feel good about themselves or better about themselves. Guys watch football teams and are emotional about a bunch of assholes they don’t even know. Why? They feel better about themselves if they are knowledgeable about a group of people that they feel is better than them. They feel like they are special in some way. They identify with them and it makes them feel better. We love to identify with groups. Subcultures, Nationalism, religions…
  7. Babies are born daily with major genetic deformities that create a life for them that is insanely difficult to overcome. They never overcome, they compensate, sucking it up – teasing from their friends, stares from adults and kids, and a feeling like they were farked from the beginning. Try as they will, they won’t come up with a ‘why’ except that they were just meant to get the dick-end of life while others have all their limbs, a healthy immune system, or whatever it is.
  8. There aren’t any good role-models to look up to that have ‘made it’ in life, and yet retain a standard of morals of any consequence. Jimmy Swagart, Clinton, Pat Robertson (who just might be insane), and others. Who do we look to as a big-brother? Someone that we can say, he’s doing it… I want to be like THAT Christian. I can’t name anybody. Everyone falls off the path. If God isn’t even powerful enough to stop a guy from thinking with the alien between his thighs, then what good is he?
  9. A spider, in trying to live another day traps insects or other small animals. The animal is caught in the web, struggling to free itself. It’s too late because the spider rushes over to bite it with it’s fangs. There is poison in the fangs which renders the insect more helpless than it is already. The spider then binds its prey with web. That’s not the end… at some point, maybe immediately if it’s hungry right then – it will pierce the insect or other beast with it’s fangs and suck the juices out of it. That is Life101 for spiders. It’s sick. What kind of god created that? What GOOD can there be in that?
  10. Like the spider nearly everything that’s alive needs to eat that which is alive or dead – other living things in order that it might survive itself. The whole life cycle and food chain ideas are the work of a lunatic.
  11. Suicide, on of only two escapes from facing life on earth is taboo in nearly all cultures. Must be all cultures, but as soon as I say ‘all’ someone will write in to crucify me. The other one? Sleep. Oops, three. Meditation. Oops four, inebriation.
  12. Sweets though we crave them, are bad for us. To be a glutton and eat too much – like we all want to, is bad for our long-term life experience.
  13. Sex, though we crave it nearly as much as hunger – but more with the mind, is not as easy as jumping on the opposite sex like animals do. Humans have this crazy thing called consideration for others. So, whatever we crave for ourselves – sex included, puts us at odds with the rest of society.
  14. The animals seem to be there to taunt us. They eat what they want. As much as they want. They don’t work. They jump on each other for sex when they feel like it. They have multiple partners. They don’t have in-depth conversations with each other – nothing really seems to matter except food, sex and sleep. Humans are confounded with thousands of minutia that make life a living hell.
  15. The entire population of the world is at odds over religion and nationalism, two things that are a direct result of whatever brought us about. These beliefs come from our genetic predisposition to believe what we’re told when we’re younger. We grow up with religion of our parents. We grow up naturally at odds with other countries due to geographical location, culture, looks, skin color. Our minds crave familiarity and alienates us against things unfamiliar by predispositioning us as such.
  16. Because nobody has died and returned to life, all of humankind fears death. NOBODY has died and come back, that’s a fact. When I see maggots eating someone’s brain who has clinically died for a week and THEN they come back to life – that is a true death experience… these near death experiences don’t mean anything. The body doesn’t even cool off. Death means pain to us because all we see is the body struggle through immense and incomprehendible pain. We don’t see what’s after that – if anything. If we just knew that there was pizza and beer on the other end – all day, everyday… we’d cope. No fear. Life would have new meaning. Hell of a lot more than it has now.
  17. Life doesn’t appear to have meaning to most people except maybe helping others get through their shitty life if you have some extra strength. What else is there? I’ve searched for years to come up with something… the entire purpose of life seems to be just that. Oh, and to live in the moment – not worried about past and future – but that requires some study, some discipline. Most of us just aren’t capable of living in the present moment without fear or concern about past or future. Are we?
  18. Men are so driven by sexual and power compulsions that they can forcibly rape children causing grievous pain and heinous trauma.
  19. People kill each other regardless what religion they believe in. Often times justifying it with their religion.
  20. Even if you’re lucky enough to be born ‘OK’ – without major genetic dysfunction, you could catch any of a thousand different life-threatening diseases, bacteria, or viruses. My half-sister was diagnosed with MS. Thanks god, appreciate it… jackass.
  21. The pleasure-pain paradigm. This simple principle guides us through life. It is at odds with everything. We seek to repeat that which is pleasurable and decrease that which is perceived as negative or pain. Why do we need to feel physical and emotional pain? What is the point? No, more specifically, what is the GOOD point of it?
  22. God makes people with different possibilities. I cannot believe in faith. Others can. God makes faith in him, and total acceptance of him a prerequisite for attaining life after death, or, heaven. What kind of good god does that?
  23. God gives some an addictive personality. They quickly get addicted on things such as caffeine, alcohol, crack, cocaine, Dr. Pepper, gambling, sex – none of which are really any good for us.
  24. Man’s curiosity, his thirst for information and to advance knowledge seems to be unstoppable. Natural resources, needed for technological and societal advancement are not distributed equally throughout the world – oil for instance. This causes serious problems between nations.
  25. We get one chance at something in any situation. We get no chance to rectify it. (Abortions, letting temper flare at someone, saying the wrong thing to someone.)
God or whatever it was – I’m not sure at all there is a god… but the whole game of life appears to be set up with hundreds – thousands of rules that make us struggle much harder than we could have had it… Struggle sucks. Life sucks when you look right at it and question what in the he11 was someone thinking when they made up this stupid farking game…
Makes me wonder anyway.

F That Sh!t

I was going through my Google reader and checking out blog posts recently written. I usually find about 3 that are worth the time to open up and spend 5-10 minutes reading. That’s not bad I guess.

This morning there were 2… the one below was the one I got the most out of because it led to a great cartoon site that I’ll need to add to my RSS feed reader. The cartoon is a commentary on life in America – a profoundly farked culture / society.

Psycho Homo Meth Freak in Southern Thailand

December 25, 2008 by MikeFook · 2 Comments

I’ve not hit anyone with a stick before in my life. I am trained to seriously hurt someone with a stick – but, who would have thought a simple run up a hill would turn into one of the top 5 annoying situations in my entire life and that I’d hit someone in the kidney with a heavy stick?
Not I.
I’m sweating like i’m on fire. My mind is. I just returned from running up a long hill at a park in Thailand – one that you would think fairly safe except for the eight or nine dogs that call it home. I always carry a stick I find early in the run to swing at the dogs who always go running off after that or some thrown rocks.
Today was amazing. It was 4:10pm when I started out. I had a great walk/run to the top of the hill. I even forgot to drink the water I had, it was just so nice. On the way down I saw a couple on a motorbike go up… then a guy on a motorbike who stared at me as I found a new stick of better wood than the first one. Glad I did. I swung at weeds sometimes and other times practiced my Kali stick patterns. I learned Kali stick-fighting and a blend of some other martial arts in a program called, “Realistic Fighting Systems” for a couple years in Tampa. It’s great exercise and keeps one limber and strong in the shoulders, forearms and wrists mostly.
The guy who taught it was a killer. He was lightening fast and really had exceptional skills. I had a good time practicing it and we swung plastic sticks at each other for practice (wiffle-ball bats) and they hurt like hell, but never hit anyone with a real Kali stick. I bought two pieces of 28″ rattan from a furniture place here and I practice the patterns at home. Guess it will always be with me. It’s fun just to swing them in the patterns really – so I found a stick on the run that was about 28″ long and swung it on the way down the hill as I walked and jogged occasionally. This stick was very strong and heavy for how thin it was. It has a knot on the end that added just the right amount of weight to it. I’ll get a picture of it here if I get ambitious as I brought it home, half anticipating needing to use it again.
The guy I saw go up the hill on motorbike came up behind me. He said, in Thai – ‘get on’ – to ride down the hill. I said, Mai ow – “Awk gam lang gai – I’m doing exercise outside – I want to walk down the hill. He said something I didn’t understand and reached his left hand for my dick (and partially got it). I was surprised as hell, but still had the presence of mind to pull back and then immediately stepped forward and let loose a blow with the stick to his back just under the right kidney. He arched up like he was going to lose control of the motorbike and go cartwheeling down the hill. I half wish he would of.
The full impact didn’t get him because after he grabbed he hit the gas and started to speed away. I heard and felt the impact reverberate through my arm but I wasn’t sure how good the strike was since I’d never hit anything with any force with that stick except some weeds and small trees, and then him.
He stayed far away for a minute then returned, coasting the motorbike next to me while he pestered me with questions. He kept asking me if I wanted him to blow me. Repeatedly – about 150 times – no less, that’s for sure. He spent the next 20 minutes as I ran down the hill cussing this fucker and telling him how lucky he was that some people saw me jogging beside his motorbike because now I couldn’t cave his head in with my stick and throw him over the side of the mountain along with his red motorbike, license # (removed after 3rd edit) – there are three Thai letters with it that to westerners would correspond to: (removed after 4th edit), just in case you run into this fucking menace.
So, I’m running fast at this point thinking he could call friends who could all blow me as they held me down – and much worse. I was a bit tired from the run and swinging the sticks and I wasn’t fully ready for 1 on 3 or 1 on 5. I’d have given all I got, don’t get me wrong!
I was talking to myself loudly… telling myself the reality of the situation was that I couldn’t whack him in the head and send him skating down the hill on his face with his motorbike following him because too many people had seen him beside me. (Another truck went up the hill just while I was thinking this).
While the place is usually deserted, the weekends do bring a few more people. It was good he stayed with me and harrassed me as long as he did so he didn’t get smart and call friends who could have met us on the hill before I ran down to my motorbike. I ran fast from 3.5 km up the hill to .5 km down the hill where my m.bike was parked.
He parked next to it I saw as I came close. Did he know it was mine or did he think someone was in the woods and he went to look for him to see if he could blow him instead? Or maybe he was running a batch of something in the woods to put in my helmet… who knows.
He didn’t come out of the woods though, I recommitted his license plate to memory and took off down the hill waiting for him to follow. He didn’t. There was another man walking down the hill at that same time and maybe he wanted to keep his anonymity. If you see someone on a red Honda Wave motorbike in Southern Thailand and the kid has a fat face, huge nose for a Thai and is a thick kid – really thick for a Thai kid, he looked like a soccer player, built strong as hell – but not muscle strong – no definition – just thick. That might be him – stay the hell away from him and don’t look at him for any reason – he might be deranged a bit… or, like my girlfriend suggested – a yaba (crystal methamphetamine) freak.
I can’t think of any reason, after I cracked his back that he stayed around like he did except maybe revenge. I thought he was going to go for the stick – so I kept switching hands depending which side he was on. I pushed him out of my way 3 different times as I ran down the hill and he got too close to me on the motorbike. Honestly, if I didn’t talk to myself and talk myself through it I may have unleashed and knocked that silly fucker senseless.
I can’t imagine how someone, a Thai much less, could be this fuckheaded. I’ve not seen such an asshole EVER in Thailand. Can you tell I’m still angry about it? Anyway – that was that. Guess that ruins my deserted walk up the park road for exercise. Crazy Thai homos. Not sure what will happen when I see him next… I know what I want to happen – but there’s little chance of finding him on a deserted road when nobody has seen me… though I don’t pray to any god, it might be a good reason to start.
Otherwise, to see him in public wouldn’t be good as he and his friends could tag team me and beat the holy hell out of me in front of hundreds of onlookers – with nobody calling dum roout (police) in the typical “farang gets his ass beat senseless in Thailand by 4+ very weak Thai guys” scenario.
So – this is living in Thailand at it’s worst. I’d never suspect the area I live in as being a place for wacky fuckers such as this – but you know what? This is my second experience with menacing homos… the first at the Tesco store restroom with that 15 year old queer peeping my pisser. I took his photo when he came out of the stall and I accused him of it – and that was the end of that.
Oh well – maybe time to really get out of Thailand now?

Human Beings at Odds with Life’s Rules: Gravity

December 20, 2008 by MikeFook · Leave a Comment

Gravity free flight... but what is the couple doing in the lower right corner?

Gravity free flight... but what is the couple doing in the lower right corner?

Life’s rules are setup already. We’re playing by the rules – we don’t have a choice in the rules I’m talking about.

Gravity, our dependence on oxygen, a range of temperatures we can exist within… things like that. Those things aren’t changing. They aren’t able to change. We can adapt by doing things to counter them temporarily, but, when we pop out of the womb we’re at odds with so many rules that have already been mandated.

One such rule… is gravity.

I don’t know how much anybody has really looked into it – but, gravity is a serious bitch to live with. Should we have it at all? That’s to be debated in another post. For now let’s just observe what a better way of going about gravity might have been.

Gravity affects everything the same way. Everything is pulled to the earth at the rate of 9.8 meters per second per second. That’s the acceleration of gravity. We call the pull of gravity, 1g force. When you hit an Oak tree in your car you’ll experience some amount of g’s as your face hits the windshield, chest hits the steering wheel. The front of your car experienced a higher number of g’s than did your face because the metal between you and the front cushioned you from some of the g’s.

On the moon the rate of gravity is said to be about 1/6th what it is here on earth. Man landed on the moon, walked on the moon, and there are rocks all over the moon. Everything is still held down by that force of gravity which I’ll call 1mg (moon gravity).

I’ll come back to this…

Gravity is a bitch, as I said earlier. Why is gravity a bitch?

  • It affects things of larger mass more.
  • It is inescapable here on earth. We’ve tried but we don’t even know what gravity IS, we can’t possibly figure out how to avoid it except by sending planes diving at the rate of 9.8 meters per second per second so the occupants can temporarily experience zero g’s.
  • When mass is gained – gravity pulls at more of it. Meaning, when the body gets bigger – more weight the person needs to fight against to do anything.
  • Gravity can kill you as a result of a fall from just 6 feet if you happen to fall on your head.
  • Everything we do requires a lot more energy to overcome gravity of 1g than it would to overcome 1mg.

The first question is – Why is gravity so strong?

1g is much stronger than we need on earth to hold us and everything else down on the ground. It’s overkill. Actually we could have 1 moon gravity and be fine. Why don’t we? Gravity is such a bitch because some idiot(s) created the earth with 1g instead of 1mg causing us to use 6 times as much energy to do the things we want to do. This applies to the potential of the earth’s stored energy that we use too – gasoline would be much more effective at 1mg than it is at the current 1g. If an SUV weighed the equivalent of 600 pounds instead of 3,500 pounds then we’d use a lot less gas and pollute the environment a hell of a lot less – agreed?

Batteries to power cars. Windmills. All sorts of energy would be a lot more potent if there was 6 times less gravity to overcome.

Lets go back to humans and how we’re at odds with gravity directly.

An increase in mass leads to a heavier weight as a result of gravity, as I’ve stated.

Humans need to move our bodies against gravity – whether walking to get food, find safety, dick around – or whatever else. When we move our body we’re fighting gravity of 1g.

The human body does not have a static mass. It’s always changing. Some of us have the equivalent of 2 body masses. Scientists say that genetics plays a part in this. I agree – there is some range of weight that is naturally a function of the size of the body, metabolism, and other genetic factors we have no control over. Some of us were really screwed with a bad metabolism and as a result fight with gravity as a major part of their game of life – and eventually succumb to it and die.

Whatever created this earth, gravity, people – screwed those that naturally have a genetic propensity for larger mass.

Myself? I was lucky. My girlfriend? Really lucky. She’s about 95 lbs. and 5′ 1″. A guy I used to work with was farked – he was 6′ 5″, was thin, and had to fight to move 120 more pounds for everything he did – than my girlfriend does.

Why did my co-worker get farked genetically with his size and weight?

As humans gravity is a bitch in conjunction with some other of life’s rules that affect us.

What else besides genetics affects our mass?

Eating, right. We were set up to lose from the start in this area too. Eating is something we find pleasurable. If we eat a lot – until we’re full, we feel good. We killed the hunger craving that is implicit in the human being. Everyone has it. Everyone knows that putting food in the mouth and filling the stomach leads to a calming of the hunger pangs.

Problem is – eating a lot – adds mass. Doing something for your body that is good – eating – can lead to a gain in mass, causing the human to fight harder to go about daily life.

Is it strange that doing something we NEED to do to stay alive can cause a bad situation if we do it too much?

Not really. In fact, that appears to be how much of life is designed.

What about this…

Eating a lot of plain puffed-rice cakes or popcorn you popped without using oil won’t cause you to gain weight. There are few calories.  However, eating a lot of chocolate cake which is considered really delicious by most people across the world – leads to a big weight gain and fight against gravity.

Why is life setup like this?

What we'd do without gravity... wow.

What would you do without gravity?

I don’t really “get it”. Why is life setup against us from the start? There are so many things we have to overcome in order to continue to live that it doesn’t seem like it makes sense that we are supposed to go on fighting to live longer.

In this age we have it quite good, and yet we’re STILL fighting the most basic things like gravity. In the past cavemen or however you want to think of early humans fought sabertooth tigers, tyrannosaurus rex, and other heinous beasts. Many lost loved ones to large birds and other human-eating animals like lions, bear, snakes… don’t forget about them – if you think you have it fine here right now – it’s because you missed the first part of this great game but billions before you died fighting more horrible things than gravity, and gravity too.

I wish whatever started this stupid game would come out from behind the black curtain and get an ass-kicking so I can feel better about it for a few minutes at least.

Accidents? My Ass

December 18, 2008 by MikeFook · Leave a Comment

People that believe wholeheartedly in god’s “good nature” are a mystery to me. I don’t understand, not even slightly. I can’t make myself understand. I’ve tried. I’ve really put effort into understanding how they could possibly ignore all the sick things going on in this world – and brush them off. Some even accept them. Embrace them even as some sort of important piece of god’s magnificent plan for the world and it’s people.

If you could stop your mind for one second. Clear it about all you believe in and what is responsible for it. God, satan, magic, poltergeist, your unconscious, etc. Just start from ground zero and ask yourself what kind of things are going on here that don’t make sense if one is to believe that whatever created this world – or whatever led to this world, was “good” in some way. If what created this world was something or someone deserving of respect, and even praise.

I’ll be the first to say, if I knew a god that was really good and did things for mankind that helped them… that fostered growth toward some ideal situation – enlightenment or whatever else could possibly be a good goal for a person to become like… Well, wait a sec, lets use “god-like“. If I knew a god that could help me become more god-like, assuming god was a magnificently GOOD being – then I’d be the first to praise him. I’d be down on my knees every day, and at various times during the day to thank him/her (it) for such an amazing opportunity to become better. To become great. To become perfect.

As it is I spend a fair amount of my day cussing whatever is in charge because the whole state of the world and mankind is so gut-wrenchingly disgusting to me.

Whatever led to what we have here… this earth, these countries… this environment, gravity, materials of the earth… what man creates… is here because of something. I don’t like when people go back and blame things on humans themselves for inventing something that creates widespread destruction. I’ve heard people blame other people for things such as AIDS, global warming, even accidents such as the meltdown at Chernobyl.

I could make this blog post into a book because I could bring in so much… but the challenge is to keep it short and get you to see the problem without coming up with reactions to what I’m going to say…

The definition of accident is something that happens that is unexpected. An accident can have good or bad outcomes, but usually we attribute the bad outcomes to be the result of accidents. Some people say accidents birthed many inventions we have today. Some say accidents are the cause of horrible things happening around the world. Surely you’ve had an accident in your car, on your motorcycle, in your boat, on your bicycle or skateboard.

Why?

In the case of a car accident – was it you or the other driver’s fault, or both?

Neither. It wasn’t either one of your faults – as you didn’t create the possibility for accidents to happen on earth. You didn’t create the possibility for accidents to exist in our species to begin with. Christians and other theists are oblivious to this. They go on believing it was a humans fault for the accident.

In the case of a car accident – let’s say one person forgot to signal, for the sake of simplicity. The other person, not seeing a signal decided to pass on the side the person was turning. In human terms we know who was at fault, both of them, but maybe more so the person that forgot to signal and made a turn anyway. The person behind was acting on the information he knew to be true – and so passed at the same time, all of it leading to an accident.

But, that’s only going back to the humans. For the sake of society – it’s OK, we go back to place responsibility on the humans that were involved. It’s all we can do to try to keep society functioning. I don’t disagree with what we do to cope with what we’ve been given by god or whatever events… Someone has to be at fault here – right?

How can we blame god? We can’t give god a ticket and make him pay for expenses.

In a perfect world we could.

A faulty memory is the cause that’s easily seen. But, what caused a faulty memory? Whatever created us or whatever created this mess we call life. How can it be any other way. Everything that happens on this earth, everything that happens to us, for us, in spite of us…. happens for a reason. The reason isn’t BECAUSE of us… it acts through us. Through our faulty mechanics.

The true reason is outside of us. Way outside.

Factors going into the accident are things like:

  • The fallibility of the brain. It forgets occasionally. Some people forget often. Is it the person’s fault he forgot? Hell no. It’s a consequence of having a brain that was made the way it was.
  • The increasing probability of memory to fail when the mind is occupied with other thoughts. The brain isn’t a computer program that follows only one program at a time. It’s parallel processing other programs at the same time, sometimes one program overlaps another, more important program. BAM! Accident. It’s the mind and the way it works.
  • The increasing probability of memory to fail when the body is tired. After 10pm I don’t speak Thai, it’s an impossibility. I just can’t think to speak it when I’m tired. If this accident occurred at 3am the guy that forgot might have been physically tired.
  • The increasing probability of the mind to choose incorrectly when emotionally upset. An emotional fog some call the inability to think clearly, logically, rationally and to act based on that clear thinking. Emotional blinders are what we call the inability to see all the details of something when one is emotionally involved.
  • The increasing probability that an illogical choice will be made because of prior events affection emotions. For instance, before the man forgot to signal he was tailgated by the jackass behind him for the last 13 miles. He reacted with a bit of vengeance, turning without the signal. This isn’t really forgetting, but gives a taste of what we’ll go over in the next section… other reasons accidents happen.

There are so many things that go into the simple act of “forgetting”. We could list 75 things that affect it. Are those 75 things responsible? Nope. Go back one more step – to who or what is responsible for those things being able to affect our lives – forgetting to signal. THAT is what is responsible. If you can go back another step beyond that – which we can’t, logically – then we should. Go to the cause. The original cause, not a cause down the list.

Not all accidents are the cause of memory or emotions getting involved. Sometimes there’s an error or judgment.

Two lumberjacks cutting wood in Alaska cut a tree down that falls on a co-worker. It’s an accident as far as humans can see. They want to blame someone.

Who is at fault? Did someone forget to do something? Nope. Was someone pissed off at the guy that died? Nope. They were all friends, there was no emotional problem between the two guys cutting the tree and the guy the tree fell on.

So, what was involved in this accident? Could be many things…

  • The wind kicked up at the wrong time, blowing it over before it was cut through at the intended angle.
  • The tree didn’t grow with equal density throughout the area they were cutting. The last cut went too fast and the angle of the cut changed, cause the tree to fall at an angle that was unexpected.
  • The guy that was hit by the tree found a wallet on the ground, in the path of the falling tree. In his estimation he could grab it before the tree fell on him. Reality showed him to be incorrect.
  • The guy threw himself under the tree to kill himself as he was tired of all the bullshit he’d been dished out in life. He’d reached the end and suicide was the option he felt would make things a little better.

So, all these things could have been involved. How many of them are of human origin?

None of them.

Do you understand that? There is nothing a human being can do to change everything we’ve been given in terms of how the mind acts, and what it is capable of. Our thoughts, our emotions, our rationalizations, our estimations, our intelligence or lack of it, our memory and it’s fallibility… the environment we grew up in – facilitative or dysfunctional. We don’t control ANY of it.

Who did? What did?

Whatever did… I don’t have the answer. Was it god? Was it a process that led to all this?

Whatever it was – a process, or a god… it thoroughly sucks. It’s not good by any stretch of my imagination. Is there a good reason for pain caused by accidents caused by god giving us faulty brains, gravity, wind, emotions, etc…?

If there is – we’re oblivious to it.

Don’t blame each other – it’s natural. Every single thing that is happening here is natural. Natural does NOT mean good. Natural means – it’s happening, it’s happened in the past… it’s likely to continue happening in the future. Get used to it. There’s no one to blame. God or whatever it is – is hiding out. He opted out of the game after creating it. He’s sucking down Corona Light with lime in Tijuana.

Seriously, I wouldn’t be at all surprised. God is not concerned with what is going on here – out of love for us.

Is anybody out there still not on board this train?

Why Are Some Drugs Illegal?

December 16, 2008 by MikeFook · Leave a Comment

Glue is much more available than Cocaine... and more destructive, faster. Why isn't glue illegal?

Glue is much more available than Cocaine... and more destructive, faster. But, glue is not illegal. Why?

Let me explain my background as far as this topic goes…

I have little.

I’ve tried pot twice – it did nothing fantastic for me. The first time I tried it at 17 yrs old my jackass friend laced it with PCP or some damn thing. I remember being paranoid as FARK thinking that I was dying. I remember my mind running 78 million miles an hour and trying to slow it down so I could think rationally about whether I was really going to die.

I remember feeling and then seeing a flame engulf my leg, then it was cold as ice… then it was on fire again. I remember my friend pulling out his brother’s pistol – and just holding it and talking about it. He had to know I was going through crazy paranoia – but it was his way of showing me what drugs were all about I guess. I guess I should thank his dumb ass as it annihilated whatever idea I had in my young mind about pot being a cool drug of some sort.

The next time I tried it I was 29. I remember thinking, wow – yeah, this feels good. So what? That was my experience with marijuana and other than sharing a friend’s pain medication before a soccer game one time, also at 17 yrs. that is the complete extent of my foray into the world of drugs. But, I’m not anti-drugs at all. Quite the opposite. WHY Are Some Drugs Illegal? For every illegal drug there are probably 10 chemicals or foodstuffs that can be taken to give a similar or more profound effect. Recently I posted at another blog of mine a link to 7 foods that your mother might give you that get you high…

So, WHY are some drugs illegal? A quick Google query shows that most government agencies in the USA and the UK say that drugs are illegal because they are “harmful”. Yes, that is the main crux of their argument. Never mind that knives, hatchets, hand & power-saws, electricity used incorrectly, alcohol, cigarettes, and firecrackers are harmful as all hell. Codeine, caffeine, and other over the counter amphetamines and barbiturates can be harmful.

Virtually ANYTHING in abundance – can be harmful – yes? Hell, you can die drinking too much WATER as we’ve seen happen on the radio morning show that was giving away prizes to anyone that could drink a gallon of water in an hour. (something like that)

In the photo above you see some Thai teens sniffing glue. Jesus hell, how harmful is glue to sniff? Pretty harmful… it destroys the braincells instantly. Quicker than alcohol. Can you buy glue to sniff in any country in the world? Sure. In the USA? Hell ya. UK? Yep. But sniffing glue is harmful.

A 12 year old can’t buy a beer in the store, but he can buy over the counter sleeping pills, stay awake pills, mouthwash with alcohol, whipped cream in a can (nitrous oxide)… glue, paint thinner, paint, gasoline, kerosene, turpentine, or firecrackers that can blow a hand or head off.

I think any government that is going to regulate ANY drug needs to regulate ALL the drugs including alcohol, aspirin, cigarettes, coffee, stay awake pills, sleeping pills & syrups, mouthwash, etc. Otherwise it’s hypocritical and damn stupid. Everyone should have the right to do with their body whatever they want to do with it. Just because we don’t regularly drink gasoline doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be more closely regulated if the government really thinks acid, speed, roofies, downers, crack, and coke should be regulated.

If someone wants to smoke pot everyday of their lives because it relaxes them and gives them a short respite from a life of hell here on earth I’m all for it. Likewise if someone WANTS to smoke PCP, scratch out their eyeballs, eat their toes and throwup a lung – I’m all for that.

Who am I to say what someone does with their own body? Not that I don’t care – it’s tragic in my opinion – but, it’s an opinion I have, I can’t insist that anyone should be able to regulate another person from doing it if they want to. I don’t get how a government thinks it can have this right.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Evangelical Christians Deep Sea Fish Too! Damnit.

Ulua - a form of Jack Crevalle like I used to fish for in Hawaii. Great fighting fish... none this color in Florida though. Actually very little was caught this fishing trip.

Ulua - a form of Jack Crevalle like I used to fish for in Hawaii. Great fighting fish... none this color in Florida though. Actually very little was caught this fishing trip.

I went deep sea fishing today on one of those chartered boats you share with 50 other people you’d never feel a need to say something to anywhere else except on one of those boats.

I had it in my mind that it would be the greatest time… I’d ignore everyone, catch a lot of fish, enjoy the relaxing 90 minute ride out to the fishing grounds and you know what?

It sucked. Let me explain…

95% of the people on the boat chain-smoked. They should rename Florida, the SMOKING STATE or the SMOKE UP MY ASS STATE, NOT the “Sunshine State”. Nobody can see the sunshine because everyone’s smoking much more than their share.

Back to the boat…

My relaxing boat ride was not to be… I learned some things today.

Christian people with their self-righteous bullshit they insist on sharing with strangers are a source of tremendous pain in the ass to millions of people worldwide. I sat next to a very talkative woman, her husband, and a boy, “MICAH”, they called him, that they had really blessed‚ because he was really “on fire for the lord.” He was a boy of 17 yrs. who didn’t strike me as all that bright, had been on drugs and into crime. He was thickly built, strong, and had a calm demeanor to him. At least now he did, after all he had recently been saved.

The woman was on an evangelistic crusade tirade, proudly telling me how she would minister‚ to anyone she came in contact with. She had such pride, truly believing she was doing the right thing by telling someone about the jesus christ she and her husband and Micah had experienced.

Besides her speaking directly to me on numerous occasions and receiving nothing but a calm smile from me, I overheard a lot during our 2-hour trip to get out there to the fishing grounds. She told her Christian husband, an old guy, smoker, about her dreams and what the lord told her that they meant. She had dreams of waterfalls, trickling water that she said symbolized the blood of christ washing everything clean‚ so, she went around to everything in her life and said, I wash you in the blood of christ blah, blah, and jesus told her this, and that. The ferocity in her voice as she told him was definitively MANIC. There was such intensity and excitement for her purpose that she could hardly contain herself. This woman had given her complete life to this idea that christ existed inside her.

At one point with young, impressionable Micah looking on she tried to scare me with the end of the world‚ and that christians would be taken up to heaven when the rest are left here scenario. She talked about the bible being the inspired word of god, and as the ultimate truth. I retorted by telling her of the 3 kinds of knowledge/truth. And that she wasn’t experiencing first hand truth by accepting the truth of the bible that was written by people she didn’t know in an era she wasn’t familiar with and governed by rulers that edited the bible’s books and what was allowed to remain.

As I listened to this woman’s silly reasoning and futile attempts at converting me I couldn’t help think about what division the Christians are causing among the people in this world. In their self-righteous quest for saving the world they wreak havoc in it. My fishing trip was destroyed and I wonder how many other people that mind their own business have had a day or a week destroyed by someone that couldn’t shut the hell up.

In a way I was happy for the boy that he had snapped out of his unhappy life but, was he truly happy in the ignorance he wallowed in now? Would he snap out of it in the coming years? I couldn’t help the whole time I listened to her to think about how she was missing out on the present. She was so wrapped up in the future of dying and what it held that she couldn’t focus on the present at all. She “gave all the glory to god”. She “gave every minute to god”. She couldn’t enjoy a minute of silence by herself because that was god’s too.

I was afraid as I listened to their conversation to each other. I was afraid that someone could believe so strongly in an idea. To give the mind over so completely to an idea was so alien to me. I thought of the way cults brainwash their followers.

Christianity is just such a cult. They have recruiters‚ which they try to make all their followers‚ by instilling the fear that they’ll not inherit heaven if they don’t witness to others. They wrap (smother) the new recruits in this blanket of love‚ and acceptance that the person has otherwise not experienced. Hence the reason most newly saved‚ have had recent traumatic events, or a period of lifeless years before needing this religiosity. I thought that Micah had probably seen this love and embraced it. Little does he know that this love is contingent on his believing as the group he is with believes. If he goes against their beliefs now he’ll be subjected to the group putting fear in his mind through the threats of a hellish after-world and instilling guilt for his rebellion.

Christians seem to have no true feelings for people outside of their group. They are dead set on converting as many to their cause as possible, and ignore those that don’t listen or come around to their‚ way. They cannot be friends with non-believers or have casual contact with them because they feel that if they don’t convert the unbelievers they themselves have failed god. The feigned interest they show in people lasts only long enough to convert them, or admit they failed. There is no further contact. These people talked and talked for the first 40 minutes or so about why we need christ, and their belief in the afterlife, etc.

When I questioned everything they said by asking for facts and not bible regurgitation, they quieted down. You cant logically refute the questioning process. The whole of Christian doctrine doesn’t lend itself to proof through fact. Its an idea‚ an idea that has cost millions their lives that have fought for it. That’s sick. An idea that can cause us to lose life because others disagree with it.

I remember thinking today that Knowledge is ignorance. Wherever one thinks is knowledge, and truth, ignorance abounds. What I mean is, that when one knows‚ one assumes that he has a fact In front of him. He doesn’t let in another view or facts that are contrary. He has taken his position and isolated himself from other views. It’s easier to hold onto the present belief, regardless of the amount of proof to the contrary. With Christians they never reach the spill over point where they start to believe another way – they just quiet down and persist in ignoring facts. It’s hard to see the logical truth of something when emotionally caught up in an idea.

As I stared at the ocean slipping by the side of the vessel I looked from the ocean to the deck. The deck started to move and melt‚ to the opposite way. The pattern in the painted-sand deck melted as if liquid and contorted as if one was on acid.

It made me think that as we are caught up in looking at something the same way for so long, there is a brainwashing effect‚ the mind gets momentum towards one direction as the ideas and rightness of action is ingrained on the mind‚ When one then looks at any other area of life, that area can be affected by the ingrained pattern. One may not see what is real because one has such a‚ brainwashed momentum towards another way of seeing things. This is all very intangible I know as I’m trying to explain it.

The mind is so simple!‚ It isn’t the complex thing weve made it out to be. It only records pleasurable and non-pleasurable events. It only holds onto memories that fit within the present schema. Events which do not fit into the cognitive schema quickly are lost to ideas more closely paralleling those which one has already found to be acceptable.

Do I claim to know what the truth is?

No. I don’t know anything. So, I cant believe anything that someone tells me.

There are physical facts. These are facts as well as we can understand facts. There are physical constants in this world that don’t change, or don’t change much. That’s all we have for fact. All beyond that is conjecture, guessing. We don’t have any facts about someones behavior. We don’t have facts about anything that has happened in the past. We don’t have facts about how we feel. We don’t have facts about what we need, or others need. We dont have facts about any historical figure. We have ideas. We have what can loosely be termed, knowledge. But it is incomplete knowledge. It is conjecture. It is made up of millions of variables that cant be accounted for specifically, qualitatively, quantitatively.

I’m so tired of people that hold onto religious beliefs because someone told them a story they want to believe. I want to believe a story too – but, it needs to be based on fact, not faith. Fact, not fiction.

Poor Parenting? This is Criminal…

December 11, 2008 by MikeFook · Leave a Comment

I think this is in China... could just as easily be Dallas, Texas.

I think this is in China... could just as easily be Dallas, Texas.

Parents. Whether you’re employed or not – you have a JOB.

I worked with kids in a ‘respite’ program when I was attending the university for my counseling psychology graduate program. Over the period of a couple years five out of seven days a week I’d pick up an eight year old boy, Michael, from the projects in Tampa, Florida and take him to do something fun away from his dysfunctional home.

Michael had been sexually and physically abused by his prostitute mother’s boyfriend from age 3-6 yrs. But, that’s another story. While I was there in the poor housing projects I watched kids as young as three years old wandering around without any adult or older child guardian. I’d see them riding their BigWheels, tricycles, or wandering around naked through the filth, broken glass, used condoms…

One time I had just picked Michael up, we were driving toward the bridge that separated the projects from the city of Tampa. I saw a policeman had a woman pulled over for not having her child in a proper car seat in the car. Michael told me to pull over, apparently it was his aunt (mom’s sister), also a prostitute. I pulled over and got out to talk to them. His aunt “Jen” was almost hysterical that the cop could give her a ticket for what she saw as such a silly thing! She wanted me to argue with the police officer FOR her. Needless to say I loaded Michael in the car and drove off wondering why the fark Michael, a really great boy, had to grow up in such a dysfunctional environment.

What a life… and there were thousands of kids growing up like him. In the world – how many are there?

How many parents aren’t giving their kids the right attention – protection?

How many parents aren’t doing their jobs?

Here in Thailand almost daily I watch 20 month year old boy run down the alley in front of our rented duplex without his mother, father or anyone watching. He just sneaks right out of the house. There are 7 people living in that tiny apartment, 3 of them whores, and not one of them cares enough to know where that boy is at all times.

That’s unacceptable.

More than fifteen times me or my girlfriend has run outside to coax him back away from the main street where a couple thousand cars pass at 60 mph plus everyday. The boy’s dimwit father works around the corner – and the boy is going to see his dad at work.

There’s about a 10% chance he’s going to be hit by a car before he’s old enough to know any better. There isn’t any application to fill out before having a child. Pimps, prostitutes, crack whores and pedophiles can have children as legally as they can buy beer at 21.

WTF kind of system IS that?

Am I for applications for having kids? Hell yes. Completely for it. If someone would implement it we’d have a hell of a lot more parents that care more for their kids. You’ve gotta have your own shit together before you’re able to GIVE to a child. A child requires so much… are you giving everything you can? Is there ANY chance your child is riding his tricycle through traffic when you’re not looking?

Everyone now, at the same time, repeat after me…

“It’s a F A R K E D life!”

Sadistic Gymnastics Coach Tortures Child

I was looking through some photos at a weird photo site, you know the ones that have hundreds of odd photos, most of which give you a mild jolt of humor, shock, or disgust. Very few photos really have the power to bore through the layers of bulletproof foam covering our brain – preventing reaction.

This photo did it for me. I just can’t get over the sickness that some adults have for treating their kids like shit to meet some expectations they have. My parents weren’t like that – not in any way, but, I saw parents that were. I saw parents that treated their kids as possessions – they did with them as they wished. They forced, tortured really, their kids to become what they themselves never were.

This photo hit me so hard because our American society, and in China, the Soviet Union, hell – maybe every farking country if you really get down to it – overall, condones this sort of child torture. It’s not illegal in the USA – is it? That’s condoning.

This kid might be, what? Three, maybe four? WTF kind of world encourages this?

Ours does.

Why? In the name of sports. Greatness. A symbol of power for the nation. In this case, the caption said it was a Chinese gymnast teacher ‘helping’ his very young student stretch. Obviously the kid is too young to be in the Olympics… but, preparation has to start early if he’s to be the greatest in the world, right? WTF kind of assininity is that?

I guess the first time in my life where I saw kids training way too hard for something as a result of parental pressure (also known as, sadism) was when I was doing biathlons and triathlons in Miami, Florida. I trained at a pool next to the university I was attending and I’d go to swim a mile, sometimes two in short sprints a couple times a week to help prepare me for the swimming portion of the races I entered.

Inevitably I’d be swimming next to one of 20 kids that were there with their coach from school. One 16 yr old boy held many Florida state swimming records. He was amazingly fluid in the water, I’d stop after my workout and watch his form. He was like a barracuda, so smooth and effortless he glided through the water. He did 8 miles every single day. Swimming 8 miles – amazing huh? Anyway…

With the older kids were some younger kids – no more than 12. They were swimming a couple miles everyday whether they wanted to or not. What kid at 12 years old wants to swim a couple miles in a cold pool in December every single day? How many kids are forced to train like this – not just in Florida – but, all over the entire world?

And, WHY? Why do their parents hold them to it? For their own pride…? To make them feel like they did a good job raising a successful child? For their own fame? Tiger Wood’s dad was said to be a sadist about forcing his son to golf and improve on his game. So too were the parents of many young tennis stars. I knew a girl in Tampa, Florida that was sent there from New Jersey to a private tennis academy at 9 years old BY HERSELF to start training to be an awesome tennis player.

Her parents ran strip clubs in New York City and wanted her to become someone successful. She was Korean, not that her background had anything to do with it. There were kids at that academy from Brazil, California, Michigan, and Jamaica that I can remember. I didn’t know very many of them either. Must have been from all over.

What are you doing to YOUR KIDS that’s over the top and beyond common-sense? What unrealized goals of your own do you have them working on so you can feel better about yourself?

What good is a kid that can do 4 back flips in a gymnastics routine if she can’t think of her own father with a smile on her face when she gets older? What good is a kid that can swim 8 miles after he’s done with college? That doesn’t get you very far. What did it do for his personality as he grew up thinking himself a superstar? What did it do to his relationship with his parents?

Pushing kids toward ANYTHING in which they need to work harder than they do when playing is wrong.

This is a Cultural WTF if I’ve ever seen one…

You with me?
