This has been eating at me for a while. Looking at Joe Konrath’s photo every time I visit his blog – was irking me for some reason and I couldn’t figure it out – until now. Some of you might say, it was just eating at me because the guy is making 28 times what I am – and with fewer books.
No, that’s not it. I mean, I’m irked by that – yes, but, there was something about how he looked that was unsettling to me.
I’ve figured it out.
Joe Konrath is selling over 500 Amazon Kindle books per day because really, he is the communication superstar – Mike Schank from “American Movie”.
The photos don’t lie.
If you don’t know who Mike Schank is – shame on you, he’s Mark’s friend in “American Movie” – the greatest film since “Gummo”.
If you don’t know who Joe Konrath is – nobody else but Amazon Kindle readers and Kindle authors do either, but he’s making mad bank with his thrillers.
