Yeah, she's skilled - but, at what?
Apparently this lady is all over YouTube and the world. She has like 300,000,000 views just for one of her videos! That’s sick!
I have seen her name over the last few years I’ve been in Thailand – but, like anything in the mainstream media – her name never occupied my head for more than the briefest second as I skimmed on to something else interesting.
For the first time in years I clicked “Browse” at Youtube and saw a video of her at the top being interviewed by someone from Google!
WTF?
Apparently her videos have wracked up over 1,000,000,000 views. Yep, that’s a billion.
It’s funny, my friend in Clearwater, Florida – Dave Carollo, used to marvel at how out of touch I was with things. I couldn’t name 3 NFL football teams in 2004 when I left to live in Thailand. Why? I just could give a shit… I don’t know those people… they play good football – what do I care? Am I a football player? Nah, it’s a stupid sport. Same with baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, whatever you can throw out there.
How do they treat their wife and kids at home? That’s what I care about… not how hard they can tackle someone…
But I do love bike racing and triathlon.
hahah. But I see it on TV once every couple years if I happen to be in someone’s house that insists on watching it.
Lady Gaga – I saw some of her songs during the interview… is a nobody. She somehow became the center of the media spotlight – someone has to be… and she’s doing it bigger than Madonna ever thought about.
The Google interviewer praised her for her skills and a whole bunch of stuff that I just didn’t get.
Who is this lady and what good is she doing for the world? I don’t care what the fuck she’s wearing… it seems like she shot to stardom based on bad electronic music and crazy shit she wore in public. What is that?
What happened to the time when Mother Teresa meant something?
I’m so out of touch with the new world… I gotta go buy me an iphone or some other piece of shit technology and do a video call or something.
